Uses: For the relief of sudden, short term diarrhoea in adults and children of 12 years and over. It can also be used by adults of 18 years and over for the relief of short term diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which has been previously diagnosed by a doctor.

How to use

For oral use. Allow the tablets to dissolve in the mouth.
For short term diarrhoea
Adults and children of 12 years and over: Take two tablets to start with. After that, take one tablet after each loose bowel movement. Don't take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. Don't take for more than 48 hours. If your short term diarrhoea does not go away within 48 hours talk to your doctor. Do not give to children under 12 years.
For diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome which has been diagnosed by a doctor
Adults only (18 years and over): Take two tablets to start with, followed by one tablet after each loose bowel motion, or as previously directed by your doctor. Don't take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. You can take this medicine for up to 2 weeks for repeated attacks, but don’t take for any one attack lasting longer than 48 hours. If your symptoms change, worsen or are not improved after 2 weeks, talk to your doctor.
Hazards and Cautions
Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
Do not take more than directed.
Loperamide works mainly on the gut but too much can cause serious heart problems and have opioid effects.
Storage
Use by the date on the end flap of the carton.
Do not store above 25°C. The tablets should be stored in the original packaging, in order to protect from moisture.
Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
