How to use
Cornflour will form lumps if added directly to hot liquids. To avoid this add one part cornflour to two parts water and mix, until smooth, then mix into the sauce that needs thickening. Keep stirring while the sauce comes to the boil and it will gradually thicken. Cornflour is also a great addition to light batters and is used in some biscuits and cakes.
