Tradition, heritage, and time-honoured practices can produce incredible whisky. But for every rule that must be obeyed and every statute that must be honoured, you lose an ounce of originality and a spark of free spirit. Enter Spearhead Whisky. Crafted at Loch Lomond distillery, our multi award-winning whisky is distilled in a continuous Coffey still using 100% malted barley. This allows us to create a lighter style of spirit, without compromising on quality, which is then matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in a combination of infrared & fire toasted virgin American oak barrels. The use of infrared toasting is a first in the Scotch whisky world and allows intricate flavours to be extracted that make our whisky sweeter, with similar tasting notes to bourbon. The result is a whisky thatâs lighter, sweeter and more accessible than traditional Scotch. This makes our whisky perfect for mixing up in fun, unexpected serves. Think Clover Club over Rob Roy. Or, add a splash of peach liqueur and top with ginger ale to make a whisky spritz. If cocktails are not your thing, then pour yourself a dram and pair with your favourite craft beer. Typically known as a âboilermakerâ, we call it a âSpear & beerâ. Pick up a bottle and find out why Spearhead is the whisky that does things differently.
